My painting style has been, since its beginnings, a constant dialogue between the city and nature. In my works, the urban landscapes of Madrid are not shown in their usual form; instead, they are surrounded and transformed by lush nature that seems to reclaim its space. Iconic buildings, streets, and squares recognizable to many appear immersed in a green and thriving environment, as if nature has begun to reclaim what was once its own.

Time has passed and humanity has vanished leaving behind only traces of its mess. Nature has returned, covering the city in silence and green. What was once a symbol of movement and progress is now reclaimed by trees and branches, a reminder that balance was never a choice but a necessity.

Nature will always prevail in this view of one of the most recognizable areas of Madrid.

Nature seeks to reclaim the space that humanity has slowly taken away. An invented sunset, or perhaps a dawn, everything is illusion, a fragile moment between loss and renewal.

Madrid in a vision that translates into color what cannot be expressed in words: the beauty and bewilderment of an era changing before our eyes.

The city emerges from nature. It’s a contradiction that makes perfect sense.

Oil and pencil on black and white photo- grisaille. My painting style is a constant dialogue between the city and nature. In my works, the urban landscapes of Madrid are not shown in their usual form; they are surrounded and transformed by an exuberant nature that seems to reclaim its space. Iconic buildings, streets, and squares that many recognize are immersed in a lush, green environment, as if nature had begun to take back what once belonged to it.

This concept emerges from a profound reflection on the fragile balance we have lost between the urban world and the natural environment.

A metaphor for the uncertain times we face in our relationship with nature.

The rising tide becomes a mirror of our mistakes, a quiet warning that the world we built is slowly dissolving beneath us. The iconic Gran Vía transformed, its asphalt replaced by water. What once symbolized progress now reflects uncertainty, a city submerged in its own silence.

The orange city vibrates through the water, reminding us that the world remains alarmingly fragile.

The day bids farewell, leaving a promise of rebirth in every shadow. El día se despide dejando una promesa de renacimiento en cada sombra.

The city breathes slowly. The deserted city is not dead: it sleeps, dreaming of footsteps that will awaken it again.

Architecture speaks without words, letting shape, size, and style tell stories about the society that created them.

Spaces for learning and memory, where you can connect with diverse forms of expression

Everything seems frozen, as if the city itself were holding its breath, watching the solitary stillness of that tree, which seems to know more about the world than any person around it.

A daring transformation of the city of Madrid.

A groundbreaking photograph served as the basis for this painting, in which the world is turned upside down. Light turns into shadow, shadow glows into light, and colors transform into their complementary tones, creating a sense of pure magic. This image is the result of inverting a positive into a negative and then applying oil paint by hand, as always. These cityscapes emerge from a fusion of meticulous research, intellectual exploration. Each piece undergoes a transformative process where photography and digital brushstrokes merge, redefining familiar urban landscapes through the alchemy of light and color. It’s a one-of-a-kind technique, mastered with precision by Carlos

Goya illuminated by moonlight at his museum.

Beautiful light for a city recreation

Nature reclaims the space that once belonged to it.

The city of Madrid seen from the West. A magical reinvention of the city. An ideal city is born from nature and lives in symbiosis with it. To the west of Madrid, there is a very beautiful, little-known bridge of great architectural interest called the Queen Victoria Bridge.

A panoramic glimpse of Madrid embraced by Nature

The future unfolds in the historic Plaza de la Villa, where nature is finally reclaiming its space once again.

Madrid is the only city in the world with a monument dedicated to the Devil. A truly unique work, full of drama and intensity.
